Pool Service Frequently Asked Question's
-Q: Why should I keep my pool chemically balanced?
A: If your pool doesn't have the right chemical balance, the operation of the pool is affected, the equipment deteriorates over time, and the water isn't safe for swimming in. High pH water leads to eye and skin irritation, clogged filters, and metal staining. Low pH leads to cloudy and dirty water, and reduced circulation.
-Q: How often should I test my pool water?
A: It depends on how often the pool is used, but for most residential pools, the water should be checked twice a week, and always after pool parties. You should have a chemical feeder and sanitizer to clean your pool automatically. We can install one for you if you like.
-Q: How often should I drain and or acid wash my pool?
A: This depends on the pool's usage, and the quality of maintenance and care it has received over its lifetime. In general pools should be acid washed every two to seven years, and if your pool has very hard water, it should be drained once a year.

A: If you smell chlorine, it means that chlorine should be added to your pool. Chloramines emit a strong smell and form when chlorine interacts with sweat, and body oil. Chlorine needs to be added to neutralize the chloramines.
